A lot of our damn education policy follows a logic that looks an awful lot like the logic of slavedrivers.
And yet, you don't want to provide the wildly disproportionate resources that would make up the gap for poor families. Y'all are a mess.

Maybe we should just make schools the community centers we are trying to force them to be without resourcing them as such.

Truly, there's actually a glimmer of hope there. Being funded as school (and wasting a lot of that money on measuring themselves)...

Schools are STILL doing an incredible job serving as community centers, given the context. Imagine if we resourced them as such.
