One strategy to combat this is to cut out the middle man. If it operates as hate to the marginalized, who cares how oppressors experience it

Another strategy, more amenable to liberals, is to attempt to change the culture. Install taboos, improve representation, etc.

Also, "ideology does the work of hate" is just a restatement of Baldwin's insight that "the innocence constitutes the crime."
