My hottake on the Buzzfeed Milo/Breitbart article: far from proving the "liberal shame" tactics are harmful, it shows that they work.

Because: think of all the bigots in high places identified in this article. Do you think "PC culture" made them bigots? No!

So these powerful bigots were so constrained by culture that their only real outlet for their bigotry was emailing fucking milo.

And even that is going to get them in trouble bc Buzzfeed named names and spilled tea.

Do you understand that means that what we're doing is WORKING??? Think about what these bigots would be doing if not for cultural pressure.
