But as far as matching vocal technique to a "character" or vocal personality, she is actually one of the greats.

Oh my god. The pre-chorus in "bitter." Epitome of nice nasty. God level. Chante is one of the best to ever do it.

And when she tries to be uplifting and positive and celebratory she is like a sleepy knockoff of Toni Braxton's upper register.

And when she is a polite, coy RUDE AF MOTHERFUCKER she is revolutionary.
