The problem with this discussion, every time, is that we only ever analyze language for its effect on white racists. (1/x)

We never ask, "why might POC/women/queer folks gravitate towards this language?" (2/x)

And we never ask, "What is the social good of people speaking about their oppression in a way that reflects their experience?" (3/x)

Why don't we care about the fact that people WANT to use this language, because it fits their experiences? (4/x)

I think "all white people are racist" means "all white people have done things that perpetuate racial oppression." (5/x)
