10/And people who don't feel they're respected want to be respected. These are basic human needs, and shouldn't be belittled.

It is also easier to remove the really-existing material barriers (e.g. mass incarceration) to people you care about getting those things.

I think the material benefits are the reason SOME are doing it, but yeah the respect stuff is what helps it be a mass movement.

Well I don't think anybody's saying halt all work on class consciousness. Just recognize easing ID tension will get you class consciousness
