My take: Identity politics isn't bad. The FACT that people are turning to identity politics is bad. But the people doing it aren't to blame.

That's facts. A line I've heard in social justice spaces is "if it's not accessible to the poor it is neither radical nor revolutionary."
But not enough people do a good job of walking out that idea.

I think it's telling -> the assumption is that only radical or revolutionary ideas are valuable.
