Nazism perhaps, but certainly not white supremacy. And I think historical disadvantage ought to be more material in nature, right?

not just like... you're mocked or socially disfavored. Getting white supremacists fired is a relatively recent phenomenon, no?

Getting anyone fired for any reason (not related to their job) is relatively recent. But still, it is not a popular position

Yeah, but there's no material effect, really. So, imo, white supremacists and Nazis don't fall under my historical disadvantage provision.

So it's ok to discriminate against them because no one has before?

Actually yes, imo it is ok to discriminate against white supremacists, but not for the reason you mentioned.

The reason you mentioned is why the STATE needn't get involved in said discrimination, unlike with queer people, minorities, women, etc.

I actually think in general, if any company actively discriminated they'd go under. I don't know the protections are necessary anymore

Shrug. That's a factual question. I happen to disagree, and I don't think either of us can prove our beliefs on this true or false.

certainly hiring bias and other consequences of implicit bias still exist. A "no blacks" sign in the window? Depends on where you are.

In plenty of places a "we don't do gay weddings" sign will get you MORE customers, not less, lol.

I don't know about that. You might (and I stress might) see a spike but it will go down quickly after.

But surely a short-term spike + anti-gay beliefs means the market wouldn't protect queer ppl in this scenario?
