They basically argue "sure, yeah, you social justice people, your aims and tactics are OK, just... they rub people the wrong way."

They want us to optimize our tactics around the bugs of white fragility, the desire of privilege to center itself, etc.

They are more interested in making sure the tactics of liberation don't upset privilege than in dismantling privilege.

Now, why is this relevant in the wake of #Charlottesville? Because this small discomfort grows, in many, into full blown white nationalism.

we need to start with liberal types who are thoughtful about social ills, and get them to understand that their discomfort with IDPOL...

is the seed that grows into white supremacism in so many others. And we need those liberal types to understand intellectual humility...
