When you live in civil society, you have to respect the values of everybody present. That includes feminists/women.

So I don't think the policing is excessive or unhealthy. Could be one day, but, I think, not yet.

Now as to your "we need to take the material interests of women into account," I guess just... you're talking about individual women, right?

Like yeah, there are women invested in sexist structures, same way there are POC invested in racist structures, for various reasons.

But in general women-as-women don't benefit from sexism, individual women benefit from sexism because of their jobs, their friends, etc.

So I guess I'd say... yes? We do need to understand that not only men have a stake in sexist structures?

But that doesn't change the fact that women-as-a-class are harmed by them and men-as-a-class benefit from them.
