The Democratic Party has spent 30 years trying to replace the union hall with the university hall. It has failed.
Education does not substitute for unionization as a means of building power for working people.

But the solution isn't to jettison the university in favor of the union hall either, though some (university) socialists would say you must.

instead, the question is: how do we convince the university and the union hall to work together towards a common plan of action?
