and about reminding "normal" people that if you haven't experienced being black, or queer, or a woman, etc., you just don't get it.

so yes, in a lot of spaces, we have "privilege" of being heard, when talking about things that pertain to our identities, over "normal" ppl.

by contrast, "normal" has a lot of advantages, in fact a lot MORE advantages. But they're invisible, we don't talk about/notice them.
