      But a quick answer: currently a few 1000 trans ppl in the military, so immediately taking them out DEFINITELY hurts military effectiveness.

      Oh, well as to the actual status of the regulation, as far as I know, this is just a trump tweet and Pentagon has no plan for it yet.

      One of the things activists will be fighting for is for such a "grandfather" clause, I'm sure, as well as suing to stop it altogether.
