the DCCC has failed over the last 30 years to play politics nearly as well as the GOP. this is why they are losing.
If you call exploiting resentment over the Civil Rights Act to rebuild your coalition "playing politics," then okay I guess.

I prefer to see it as Dems frequently cast their lot with compassion, which is not popular with the American people.

I'm glad they did it tho. I'm not saying there aren't strategic errors but recognize that they're playing at a deficit, and why.
