5) Lack of roles for black people in front of the camera translates to lack of black people behind the cam.
studios will often take an unproven/untested writer or director if they can get a star attached. We have fewer stars.

(this also produces a vicious cycle bc black creatives tend to write better black roles cause, you know, we know and love black stories)

6) Rampant microaggressions take a toll when society is already less likely to see black folks as smart, intellectual, leaders, etc.
