if you are genuinely curious as to the evidence that it's harder to get into hollywood as a black creative I'd be glad to share some.

1) Implicit bias means especially for an intimate relationship like a creative partner, white men have an advantage.

2) Hollywood (& TV in general) is an apprenticeship business. But you generally only do "apprenticeships" with ppl in your social circle.

3) The accumulated effects of historical disadvantage. Both my parents have worked in media my whole life, as have many of their friends...

from that group, I know one guy whose films have hit Sundance, and I worked in reality TV for four years right after college.

I know these people aren't any more or less talented than white counterparts, because they've frequently MENTORED those white counterparts.
