Videogame "fan service," can't be enjoyed in peace, because the fans who aren't being serviced by sexism speak up.

For that matter, nerdy kids who used to accept their secondary place in the hierarchy assert a foremost place because nerds run the world!

So, rather than relatively harmonious relations between dominant culture and subculture where subcult has sort of "assigned spaces..."

We have multiple relatively powerful cultures duking it out. Violating each other's taboos. Becoming mutually unintelligible.

This is not the liberal narrative of progress, nor the conservative narrative of wrong turn. This is a material analysis of fragmented power
