Democrats are always in the "feelings" business. How can people be made to feel differently about this or that policy or idea...

Well that's just the point. People can't be made to feel differently. They want their side to win, and they could care less about feelings.

Democrats fragment because some faction or other doesn't feel catered to or listened to or empowered enough. Rs don't have that problem.

Republican factions can hate each other's guts but in the end, they vote with the tribe.

Anyway not to belabor the point. But Dems want people to agree that society should care for everyone and people should prioritize kindness.

But that's not the way it is. Things like selflessness and heroism are actually pretty rare qualities, which is why we admire them so much.
