Obviously old music comes from religion, this applies across the board. We still have great music without it.

I'm not saying ALL good music comes from gospel. I'm saying 99% of American pop music would not sound the way it does today w/o gospel.

eh. Agree to disagree there. You might be cool with the vibe-ists but I miss music that is more directional (and better-sung).
