but I do think that there is a version of the identitarian left that might liberate the hood from tyrannical police...

but might leave the hood poor. And another version that might truly liberate the hood in urban areas...

but allow small towns to continue to decline. A solution for Brownsville/Compton without a solution for Akron/Gary, if you will.

both of these are not only harmful, but people will sniff out that we're headed there and those visions will lose elections.

add to that the fact that the social justice left is concentrated in big cities and the Constitution rewards geographic diversity.

(the fact that geography is the ONLY interest divergence that the Constitution/US govt institutionally recognizes is another problem...)

and the social justice left NEEDS the socialist left to win elections/govern consistently for the next 20 years at MINIMUM.

the most successful formula for the Dems, imo, is to have an economic populist President from the heartland (cough cough Sherrod Brown)
