but a real humility that holds our own beliefs lightly and tightly. That acknowledges everyone believes some lies to get through the day...
and rather than stripping us of our illusions (our necessary fictions c.f., Stevens), allows us to believe in our illusions as illusions.

I'm being esoteric but really to believe in our fictions as fictions is the only way to get through the day with so many other ppl around.

and I mean that globally and locally, because the two are the same and getting more so.
