      OK. A lot of social justice things are about balancing immediate persuasive effect with avoiding oppressive logics.

      by and large, I think it is wise to critique oppressive logics wherever we find them, including (perhaps especially) by nominal allies.

      when there are LITERALLY lives in IMMEDIATE danger and persuading Americans is the only way to help those specific people
