OK. A lot of social justice things are about balancing immediate persuasive effect with avoiding oppressive logics.

by and large, I think it is wise to critique oppressive logics wherever we find them, including (perhaps especially) by nominal allies.
however, I also think it is wise in some cases to use those oppressive logics for their immediate persuasive impact.

I know that's ideologically impure, cruel to the oppressed, and a little Machiavellian of me.

But again, I believe we're seeking a BALANCE between persuasive impact and not using oppressive logic.
