Not every citizen---and especially not black and native citizens---has an alloyed, wholly positive relationship to America.

and more importantly, not every citizen---especially not white citizens---is capable of defining America is something other than white.

So if the America we've experienced must always be subordinated to the (white) America they've experienced, we will never be liberated.

if we have to conform to the values and culture and practices of farmers in Iowa, we will never be liberated.

If we have to perform Americanness, which means performing whiteness, to be accepted, we will never be liberated.

if we have to mute any and all criticisms of a state that has treated us miserably in the name of nationalism, we will never be liberated.

so while Bannon's nationalism is technically not an ethno-nationalism,

as a cultural nationalism, with allegiance to a white-originated, white-dominated culture, Bannon's nationalism is de facto anti-POC.
