Like, I think most NYC and DC-based journalists think of the #TheResistance as "people who mostly share my epistemological (not necessarily ideological) priors and class signifiers, but who are much more naive about politics than I am". Familiarity breeds dismissiveness.
Not too far from how I presume a Smart Conservative might have felt about the Tea Party in 2010. Somebody needs to do a real serious profile on the policy priorities of The Resistance. I make fun of blue wave emojis too but they’re the people showing up to the blockwalks, etc.
