It is very difficult to have conversations across worldviews and wildly divergent experiences. As such, it is very, very difficult to be at all honest about the experience of racism in a way that white people will not find dehumanizing.
And also racist behavior contributes to a system than IS inhumane, subhuman, inhuman, whatever word you want to use. Unless you’re paid to write about it in a way that is palatable to whites, accurately describing the system WILL make many whites feel indicted and shamed.
