and the size/make of the buildings work in their favor. Rite aid likely a metal building. Building takes awhile to catch fire and once fire front passes, gives them enough time to get out before endangering individuals

Not as familiar with Rite Aid, but Walgreens is usually constructed of modular concrete walls/slabs, so would make sense too.

They also tend to be on main thoroughfares, which seems like a smart way to ease access to rescue in case they need to evacuate. (Just thinking out loud here)
