Next week I’m taking a train from SF to Chicago. It takes 2 days and there’s no wifi and I am SO excited.

If the train is on time in Denver, it has a scheduled 30 min stop and you can go check out the station, it is a grand old building.
Oh, a basic logistical note: superliner roomettes are tiny. Your bigger bags, even if you don't check them, will stay on the lower level and not in your roomette. Pack a separate small bag ("personal item") with essentials.
