BREAKING: The application for the rezoning of 960 Franklin/Spice Factory has been certified, triggering the city land use (ULURP) process despite overwhelming community opposition and even the rare, public opposition of Mayor de Blasio.
I’ve opposed this project because we need to fundamentally change how NYC approaches land use. The current process is intentionally opaque and tries to pit communities and union labor against each other, not realizing that we are ONE.

require engagement with communities earlier in the development process;

mandate a racial impact study to determine how any development will disproportionately harm certain communities.
