I’m on the faculty at Wright State & on strike & I just learned that the person covering my class on Brit Lit (1660-1870) has sent an email to students saying that s/he is no longer a substitute but now the instructor of record for the class, will send students new syllabus, etc.

It’s not an adjunct, but rather a colleague of mine who IS qualified to teach the class—but who had moved into administration in recent years. Thanks everyone for your words of support. It’s a colleague I have a lot of respect for, but I was still sad to hear this news.

Whoa! This is clearly *not* a case of the admin. bargaining in good faith with faculty.

Why would anyone agree to cover your class if you're on strike? Hope you achieve a settlement
