There is not, never has been, & never will be ANY technology with a purely positive effect on society. Everything that makes life better for some group ALSO makes life worse for another group.

Nope. And if you’d read the thread, you’d‘ve seen this. Read the thread kids. It’s not that hardhttps://twitter.com/sarahmei/status/1079201197293166592 …

Interesting hypothesis, but this is the wrong medium. You're trying to write an essay on Twitter. I read the first 5-10 posts, then realized there were about 30 more & quickly tapped out. Plus, this inevitably invites snarky comments. Put it in a blog post & tweet us the link

Demanding labor from someone who’s already doing it for free...is a really bad look. Keep up

I'm sure you know I'm not 'demanding labor'. Forgive me I did not intend to be a jerk (don't silly emojis count for anything?
) I really find this topic fascinating, I appreciate the thought & work you put into the argument. It's something I never really thought about.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -
My point is you say 'Read the thread kids it's not that hard' & I disagree. It IS hard to read broken into 30 tweets/w distracting comments. This is something I would love to read in long form on your blog, maybe trending on hacker news? It's a good topic, people would enjoy it.

Ha ha, well, if there is one group I am NOT interested in hearing from, it’s the misogynist asshats of hacker news, so...no thanks
