I do find it hilarious (and downright sad) that YouTube has the time to spout edgy twitter posts but not the time to give creators actual updates on the happenings of the platform. When we said we wanted communication, I don’t think edgy tweets is quite what we meant.

I think that the "actual updates" come from folks who aren't the ones updating the
@YouTube account. For updates, you want@TeamYouTube.1 reply 0 retweets 4 likes -

I think it just comes down to YT being in a weird place currently with demonetization an issue, the Paul situation, partner approval taking months... and then u have the official YT account taking time to respond to trolls w/ edgy tweets rather than responding to actual creators.

I haven't seen that kind of tweet from TeamYouTube or ytcreators.

Yeah for sure, and those do a good job with their stuff. It's just they're also not the *official* YT account. It's like if during the Battlefront fiasco Dice randomly starting roasting people who disagreed with their loot boxes. Just bad taste I guess and started out of nowhere.

They are official YouTube accounts, targeted at creator outreach. I don't follow the @YouTube account, because I don't think I am the target audience.
