Establishing a National Climate Disaster Fund would move some of the financial costs of climate disasters like these bushfires, away from households, businesses, volunteers & taxpayers that are currently forced to pick up the tab >

No, I don’t want a . That would let Scotty from Marketing off the hook and would let the Libs wipe the slate clean on yet another failed PM. No, we want Morrison there. We want him to keep his incompetent bum in the seat until we can vote him out in an election.

The Parliament appropriates taxpayer funds to spending programs. It doesn’t give free rein to ministers to use those funds for their party’s re-election purposes. Checks and balances and all that old-fashioned stuff.

Throughout the bushfires crisis we Australians received an outpouring of compassion and empathy from around the world the likes of which we could hardly have imagined. We should remember that when we see other people around the world experiencing hardship and tragedy.
