I am not one of those people, but the religious right was the only organized force fighting back against this kind of thing. I miss them.
The huge upswing in campus political correctness and suppression of speech came just after the religious right's final defeat in Obergefell.

"Blame" is ridiculous. Religious right offered choice: Christianity or legal abortion and gay marriage. People liked abortion and gays more.
