1/I think this is the prevailing mentality in resonably egalitarian peasent cultures. Germans from germany are blunt,midwestern german americans are consensus seeking. Disagreeing with someones ex politics in a settlers village means actual conflict

2/ whereas a parisian can disagree about abstract politics and still be "friends". In norhern sweden, which has no aristocracy, barely a merchant class and was populated by settlers breaking new land this mentality is the worst. Everyone must agre on all things
