Why are the English more uniform? You'd think they'd be more diverse, coming from a mix of Germanic and Celtic and some Scandinavian ancestry.
Unlike the uniform and boring English, the Germans are quite genetically interesting. PCAs show a dominant West German cluster (including Bavaria), a Low German cluster basically identical to the Dutch/ancient Alemanni, and a heterogenous East group: https://postlmg.cc/KRkRkVBY
