It’s so true. I feel sorry for so many of my friends who maybe speak with their mothers on birthdays or Mother’s Day but can go months without a call or a hug or a meal with them. It’s remarkable to me.

My mother is English and I dont have a single memory of her hugging my as a child. Later in life I force her to hug me. She does like it though, brings her to tears at times.
