“That’s not true!”... Hmm yeah actually it might be and that is weird. It’s weird that it’s even kind of common in music, obviously there’s exceptions but often singers for bands or whatever are really good looking

In music there’s a lot of incentives aligning to make that happen: better looking frontman gets more female fans, which brings in the guys. More likely to get noticed by labels, TV, magazines—all regardless of actual ability

This is extremely true in football (Brady, Elway, Montana, Steve Young all almost comically handsome) but less true in basketball (Jordan was handsome as was Magic Johnson, and Kobe, but Lebron, Larry Bird, Kareem, Bill Russell were not).
