As do the Finns, which probably isn't a coincidence. Among Baltic speakers there seem to be very few accomplished people other than athletes and Marija Gimbutas. Any angry Lithuanian who reads this is free to correct me.
They have learned not to assosiate with these (middle eastern & abrahamic) people. They bring average cuisine, long workdays, average literature and average ideas with them. These people are not unknown but unknown to many for a reason.
Could also add, that even though I enjoy your tweets. Your perspective is so.. I don't know how to put this any better, so "american". That it's often times great humour reading these from the Old World
