No one seems to know anything about Balts, to even understand that they aren't Slavs. How many famous Balts (other than recent NBA players) can the average Twitter intellectual name? It's like the Bermuda Triangle of Europe.

One of the weird grand reoccurrences in European history was that the Baltic nations were the last (or close) to adopt agriculture and also the last to adopt Christianity, both Middle Eastern innovations. It's this strangle place, this dead zone.
