Seasonal Affective Disorder (S.A.D.) is as you would expect higher in Northern US than in the South and higher in northern latitudes generally. Icelanders have undergone more interesting physical changes in response to climate than any other Europeans. These include their muscularity/short limbs as an adaptation to wet-cold (similar to Polynesians) and a mandibular torus as adaptions to a hard diet (similar to Eskimos).
