In 2005 a paper was published comparing the anthropometric norms of American whites with a very wide range of populations, which I think was meant to be of value to plastic surgeons. http://femininebeauty.info/farkas.pdf  Some of the measurements they used can be seen here:pic.twitter.com/31dpGU1o4o

The easiest way to distinguish East from West European men is by looking at en-ex: 90% of Hungarian men had eye widths outside the US normal range. Not above average, outside_the_range. This same pattern is seen in all East Europeans. Here: the half-Hungarian Dean Norris:pic.twitter.com/wURT4ZXa7I

The population studied with the greatest facial resemblance to US Whites were the Germans. Krauts tilt in a Slavic direction in their eye width (30% percent outside the range) and their women seem to possess substantially longer noses and ears. is there a mathematical meaning to "outside the range"? e.g. more than 1 standard deviation beyond the average, etc.

"Eye width" as in en-en, en-ex, or ex-ex?

Not quite, in East Europeans Hungarians have the widest eyes which is probably related to their cephalic indexes, which are some of the highest in Europe. In both areas the most extreme East Europeans are actually those geographically and genetically closest to the West.
