Part of the difference in memory is attributable to the fact that NW European are better at autistically clumping facts into categories in the sense of bug collectors, movie buffs, and Internet HBD guys.

Having just learned the terms today, it would seem to me that dolichocephaly would have a smaller cross section? An apple may have a smaller surface area than a banana, but I'd rather poop out the banana.
You're right, I think it's no so much the shape as the sheer size of the forehead, similar to what Polynesian women must go through during birth.
