It doesn't. I2, the plurality group in Yugoslavia, reaches its peak frequency in those countries and in Sardinia, which is home to the shortest, darkest Italians.

They are a colossal exception, which is a pretty big problem for the theory that I does anything. EEF vs everything else is the overwhelming determinant of height in Europeans, with the exception of people in the Dinaric Alps and to a lesser extent the Dutch.
