@Steve_Sailer @gcochran99 Does anyone know how cheap Covid-19 tests are likely to get? Will be relevant soon for enabling poorer countries to leave lockdown; Brazil is currently only going to test severe cases.

(Chloroquine, if it helps, seems unlikely to be a bottleneck once production ramps up, hopefully - even Africa would probably be able to afford that?)

Cheap as dirt, except in the US. And there's a way to fix that.

What is that way?

Explain politely that there's no good reason for charging more than 100 times the cost of production. A kind word, and a gun, of course.

If you want to attract greater supply, let price signal the need and let suppliers respond. That is the purpose of price.

Guns also have their uses.
