Taleb has been trying hard, without any success, to demonstrate that he and his family are genetically more closely related to the Greeks than Northern Europeans are. He's piggy backing on the achievements of the Hellenes, just like the Nazis, although with even less evidence.

He blocked me for saying that he knew less about pop genetics than any random commenter on Eurogenes. What you say about Slavic influence is of course true, but even Cretans are strongly distinct from Arabs and even Cypriots.

Damn you and your pedantry, for the purposes of this conversation "Arabs" means the House of Taleb. The numbers I've seen suggest Slavic gene flow into modern Greeks is on the order of 15-20%, which I don't think is enough to explain the shift in the PCA.
