Monte Verde in Chile is famous as the archaeological site that first proved, very controversially, that people lived in America before the Clovis culture. What is not that well known is that since the 80's archaeologists have reported a 33,000 year old layer of artifacts there.

This, combined with the fact that Andamese ancestry was present in North China in 40,000 B.C. offers a plausible explanation of it came to be in the Americas that doesn't require fantastic ocean hopping.
