Even if not surprising coming from Watson, it is awful to see a scientist of his stature reinforce the most pernicious of racial stereotypes on camera. And the film does a beautiful job showing the impossibility of reconciling this aspect of him with his scientific contributions.
History will find it easy to reconcile his scientific contributions with the fact that he was one of the few people willing to publicly assert the truth about racial differences in intelligence. Be sure to revisit these tweets after the first admixture studies on IQ are done.
