The Bell Beakers had picked up some Neolithic farmer genes in Europe before they largely replaced the Sardinian-style farmers living in England.
The people that occupied Anatolia before Fertile Crescent farmers arrived seem to have been !2 dominant WHG types. The first European farmers were something like 3/4th Fertile Crescent farmer, 1/4th Anatolian WHG. In other words, most all of Sardinian I is Middle Eastern.
