I think you overrate Iceland and underrate the Baltic nations that have the highest levels of WHG and Steppe ancestry. The clear trend since 2002 in World's Strongest Man competitions has been toward Polish/Lithuanian dominance.
The Icelandic overrepresenation is kind of superficial: two winners from the 1980's while the competition was still niche and East Europeans did not participate. When you look at contestants as opposed to winners 3/20 this year were Lithuanian and one Latvian. They're stronger.
